Helps injured people in the mountains.
Conducts preventive actions and control, aimed at avoiding accidents in the mountains.
Conducts search and rescue of missing people in the mountains and transport of injured people at the request of individuals or authorized organizations.
Performs the education and training of the mountain rescuers.
Organizes the use and maintenance of the mountain rescue stations and facilities.
Assists in protecting the environment.
Assists and participates together with other specialized units in the recovery from natural or man-made disasters and catastrophes, according to its expertise.
Searches and transports dead people in difficult mountain terrain at the request of the authorized organizations.
